Milla went to Excelsior High School, and dreaded subjects
like math, chemistry, and physics.
Milla has a half-brother.
Milla was on several TV shows, including Paradise
in 1988, an appearance on Married...With Children as Yvette, a French
exchange student who becomes the center of attention at Kelly's
high school in 1989, and also as Robin Fecknoids in the pilot episode
of Parker Lewis Can't Lose in 1990.
Amidst some controversy (she was just 15 years old),
Milla played Lilli in Return to the Blue Lagoon (1991), the sequel
to Brooke Shields' 1980 classic The Blue Lagoon.
At the age of 16, she married 21-year-old actor boyfriend
Shawn Andrews (whom she was involved with on the set of Dazed and
Confused), only to have the marriage annulled two months later.
Milla is left-handed (but she plays guitar and shoots
right-handed).
Milla has been an international spokesmodel for L'Oreal.
She lives in New York City.
Milla will be filming .45 in 2005. The film is about
a Bonnie and Clyde-like couple in Manhattan's Hell's Kitchen who
turn on each other.
Milla will also film Fade Out with Billy Bob Thornton in 2005. The
film follows a screenwriter with schizophrenia (Thornton) who thinks
his wife (Milla) is trying to murder him. He begins to write a script
that mirrors his everyday life, and the line between fiction and
reality quickly begin to blur.
"I just want to make one really good movie
a year. And when I die, to know I was honest as an artist."
"Modeling was never a priority. I was always
taking acting classes."
"With acting, you have to work and practice.
With modeling it's the opposite. You shouldn't care. You should
just act blasé and go to parties."
